Two Third Of Palestinians Support Direct Negotiations But Conditional (Click for Details)

A recent survey of Palestinians carried out by AWARD (Arab World for Research & Development) shows that a 2/3 majority of Palestinians support conditional direct negotiations with Israel while less than one in ten support unconditional direct negotiations.

(Multi-country survey) Religiosity Highest in World's Poorest Nations (Click for Details)

Gallup surveys in 114 countries in 2009 show that religion continues to play an important role in many people's lives worldwide. The global median proportion of adults who say religion is an important part of their daily lives is 84%, unchanged from what Gallup has found in other years. The data shows a strong relationship between socio-economic conditions and religiosity in a country.

Iraqis More Approving of Own Leadership Than of U.S. (Click for Details)

Iraqis approved more of their own country's leadership than U.S. leadership in early 2010 -- the reverse of their sentiment in 2008. Iraqis' relative confidence in their own leadership at the time of Gallup's most recent survey, which was conducted shortly before the elections in March, could be taken as a positive sign as the U.S. diminishes its military presence in the country and Iraqis take more control.

Multi Country Poll: Migration Could Triple Populations in Some Wealthy Nations (Click for Details)

Gallup's Potential Net Migration Index finds Singapore, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Switzerland, Australia, and Kuwait atop the list of countries that could see the highest net adult population growth from international migration. If all adults worldwide who desire to migrate permanently to other countries actually moved where they wanted today, each country would see their adult populations double or even triple.
